„Horlog Castle" is nestled at the foot of the Trigrad Gorge - a protected area for the conservation of rare plant and animal species, as well as for the protection of natural habitats.

- Cultural tourism: : Right next to the „Horlog Castle”, there are the „Park of the Rhodope Herb”; „Museum of the Bear“, and „Museum of Rhodope Aquaculture”; Near the center of the village of Trigrad, you can visit the House-Museum "Katertsi", as well as the old "Roman Bridge", and in the depopulated village of Vodni Pad (Water Fall) located 7 km southwest of Trigrad, you can visit the old "Kirechnitsa" preserved in its authentic form.;
- Extreme adventures: the "Via Ferrata" /climbing up rocks on metal steps/; the "Haramiyska Cave" /rock climbing and rope descent from 50m./; the "Rope Lift" over the Trigradska River;

In the area around Trigrad there are over 100 unexplored and undeveloped caves not accessible to visitors.;
- Ornithological tourism: opportunity for direct observation of the extremely rare bird "Wallcreeper", as well as grouse, hazel grouse and others.;
